Microsoft recently announced on May 5th that Windows 10 will no longer be Free after July 29, 2016. There had been rumors that Microsoft was planning on extending the date but as of right now that is no longer the case.
What does that mean for you? Simple. If you are still currently running Windows 7 or Windows 8.1 you have the decision to upgrade until the deadline has reached. Once you have successfully upgraded to Windows 10 the license is yours for the lifetime at no cost. If you choose to upgrade after July 29th, the cost of Windows 10 will be $119 for the Home Edition.
